Alfa Chicks Farmers Day held at Alfa Chicks

A farmers day was held at Alfa Chicks on the 25th of June 2016. 50 farmers attended the farmers day with farmers coming from as far afield as Seleka, Delareyville, Maseru and Thoyandou. The main topic for discussion centred around farming in the winter and related challenges. Guest speakers from Cobb, Ross and Immunovet kept the farmers on the edge of their seats. The farmers were extremely involved in the sessions and many questions were asked and answered by the panel of experts. Feedback from the farmers since the event has been very positive. A few suppliers of other poultry inputs had display stands and these included Bupo, Super Agri Science and Immunovet. This gave the farmers an opportunity to grill the suppliers about their products and also for the suppliers to inform the farmers of new products on the market. Funds raised from this event are used to fund farmer days in less privileged areas such as the one held in Giyani. We would like to thank all the guest speakers, suppliers and farmers involved for making this a truly successful event.
